Trombonist-Bandleader-Conductor-Musical
Contractor
Vic has been an accomplished musician since childhood. Born in Muskegon, Michigan to a musical family his father played
sax and guitar and was the leader of one of the most popular big bands in the midwest in the 40's and 50's. His mother was
an accomplished pianist who insisted all four children start their musical lives on the piano. Vic would watch his fathers
band practice and from the age of four would tell his mother that the instrument he wanted to play was the trombone. After
five years of piano lessons he got his first trombone at the age of nine. Three years later, while in the seventh grade, he
was fronting his own band playing for junior high school dances and he knew from then on what his life's work would be. Vic
continued leading bands through his high school years and while attending college. He then spent two years as a featured soloist
with the 399th Army Band. After receiving an honorable discharge Vic spent the next five years as owner of BIRD'S MUSIC CENTER
in Muskegon, Michigan running the store during the day while performing with his own trio at night. After selling his music
store Vic moved to Miami, Florida where he worked with virtually every major "Star" in the entertainment business. After four
years in Miami Vic relocated to Orlando, Florida where he currently resides. For three years Vic was featured with a
show band at Walt Disney World before leaving to form his own very successful musical entertainment company providing bands
and backup musicians for clients all over the U.S. Vic's music credentials run the gamut from big bands, recording and broadway
shows to jazz, dixieland or fronting a band of any size and he continues to enjoy success as one of the busiest trombonists
in Florida and the southeast.
